(29 Dec. 2018) First Prefectures Created

IROKA -- The Sevetian People's Assembly approved the creation of the first 9 prefectures of Sevetia. All of them are located in the north of the country, except for Miranisen, which comprises the island of the same name. The boundaries of the prefectures were agreed between local authorities with the mediation of a special commission appointed by the People's Assembly. Once the agreement was reached, the local authorities proceeded to choose the seat of government in each prefecture.

The prefectures created are the following, with the seat of government in brackets: Disersaper (Disersaper), Dragi (Dragi), Drezarhurze (Drezarhurze), Esonkarag (Esonkarag), Iroka (Iroka), Ishtosar (Semeti), Merakdala (Merakdala), Miranisne (Esonasat), and Misak (Misak).

A map of the 9 prefectures (and the largest settlements within them) is shown below. The hatched areas are those currently claimed by the State of Sevetia. New prefectures in those areas will be created next.
