(21 Dec. 2018) State of Sevetia Declared

IROKA -- The Sevetian People's Assembly declared the establishment of the State of Sevetia in a special meeting held today. The document was signed by all the 49 members of the People's Assembly.

The "Declaration of Establishment of the State of Sevetia" is the result of the invaluable effort of the our People, guided by their necessity of having a State of their own, where to exist and develop. The proclamation of the State thus becomes the most important event in our history--from now on, we have a country of our own, with a State run in accordance with our own cultural values, while respecting the rights of anybody who desires to live in Sevetia.

It is expected that in next meeting, the Sevetian People's Assembly declares this day, 21st of December, as a national holiday.

The Sevetian People, having settled the lands of Sevetia, having become a nation, and having recognised itself as a new nation in the world, declares its decision of exercising its right to take the reins of its own fate, to govern itself in accordance with its own values and customs, for eternity, in peace and harmony with all the nations in the world that respect its right to exist.

It is the noble reason why, attending to the Sevetian People's necessity of a State of its own, where it can exist, prosper, and contribute to the well-being of the planet and the rest of the peoples living in it, we, the Sevetian People's Asembly, acting in genuine and legitimate representation of the Sevetian People, declare the establishment of a sovereign, independent state in Sevetia, to be known as the "State of Sevetia".

The State of Sevetia will be ruled in accordance with the cultural and historical principles of the Sevetian People, and in accordance with the best human values, and will always guarantee liberty and justice for the Sevetian People and for those who desire to be admitted in the State of Sevetia.

We declare that, until the authorities of the State of Sevetia are elected, the Sevetian People's Assembly shall act as the Provisional Government of the State of Sevetia.

We claim as territory of the State of Sevetia the whole of Hinisne as well as the islands closest to its shores.

We salute all the other nations of the world, hoping that they respond to our desire of achieving peaceful coexistence and mutual understading.

We affix our signatures to this declaration in this special session of the Sevetian People's Assembly, on the soil of the homeland, in the city of Iroka, the twenty-first day of December, 2018.
