IROKA -- After receiveing roughly 19,000 applications for the different government positions, the Sevetian People's Assembly announced the beginning of the official examinations. The examinations will consist on three stages, and will begin next Saturday, with the final results being announced in up to two weeks.
The Sevetian law states that anyone who desires to hold a government position at national or prefecture level has to meet certain requirements to apply, and obtain the highest overall mark in a series of exams.
The exams have been prepared by a number of professionals of the fields of education, psychology, sociology and culture. Applicants are expected to show their fitness for the position they intend to hold. In each exam, a threshold will be established, so any applicant whose marks are below the threshold will be rejected. In the case that more than one applicant obtain the highest overall mark, the Sevetian People's Assembly will interview the applicants and vote on a "winner". It has been proposed to let the People's Assembly choose the winners from those applicants who reach the final stage of examination.
The new government will be formed by those who are elected through the examination process. Once the national and prefecture authorities are announced, the Sevetian People's Assembly will establish the bodies to take the reins of the country.
